History

Window World was founded in 1995 by Leon Whitworth. The office was a small roadside stand in Wilmington, NC. It didn't look like much but Leon had big plans for this company. He wasn't going to be like everyone else in the home improvement business. He wasn't going to do things like they had always been done. A slick salesman shows up at your house, gives a three hour presentation, starts his price at $1,000.00 or even $1,200.00 per window, creates bogus discounts and tries to high pressure you into paying ridiculously high prices. The other end of the spectrum is the guy who has cheap prices along with an inferior product that won't last very long.

Leon knew that to be successful he couldn't do any of these things. The Window World way would be simple and provide superior products and installations by professional craftsmen, with guaranteed low prices, simply the best for less. What more could anyone want?

Window World partnered itself with the best window manufacturers in the world. They use state-of-the-art equipment and only the best materials available.

That small roadside stand has now grown into almost 126 Window World offices in 37 states and is still growing. We are now one of the largest home improvement companies in America. Each location is locally owned and operated. This ensures each customer that his or her project gets the individual attention it deserves. Our owners and their personnel receive in-depth training on a monthly basis to keep them on the leading edge of the industry.
